Interest in Austrian Literature from the Perspective of the Members of the Austrian Library (A Department of the Voivodeship Public Library of Opole)
Abstract
The article examines the interest members of the Austrian Library show in Austrian literature. The article handles the statistics that indicate the Austrian books most often borrowed in the years 2001-2015 by various groups of library members. Analysis is based on figures taken from the members' choices. The factors that influence book choices are each member's scientific, educational, or aesthetic needs, as well as the library's efforts to support reading choices by its offers, such as, but not exclusively, meetings with writers, lectures, and exhibitions.
