From ‚Ich liebe jede Falte‘ to ‚Hurra, wir leben noch!‘ – the humorous approach to getting older in Sandra Schönthal's Shades of Fifty
Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the ways of generating humour in Sandra Schönthal's works on the example of selected fragments of the novel Shades of Fifty describing the dilemmas of a woman in the process of ageing. The analysis covers such stylistic means as irony, self-irony, sarcasm, which create comic situations in the novel.
