Strategies for coping with the anxiety of death in the novel "What You Can See from Here" by Mariana Lekys
Abstract
The anxiety of death is one of the most widespread emotions in today's society. In this article, selected aspects of the anxiety of death and its perception in the psychological and socio-cultural context are presented. Special attention is paid to the connection between magical thinking and the anxiety of death. The aim of the paper is to present the anxiety of death in the novel What You Can See from Here by Mariana Leky. The strategies of mental processing and coping with the anxiety of death are also at the centre of consideration.
