Vol. 4 (2019):

The articles collected in the current issue of Transfer. Reception Studies aim to define the specifics of the new migration experiences that go beyond the boundaries of "classical" emigration - romanticism, war and post-war. Thus this time the main topic of consideration is the writings of female and male authors of Polish extraction who have settled in Germany or Austria and have chosen to use German as their medium for artistic expression. The majority of the considered authors belong to the generation of so-called post-migrants since they left Poland as adults or children of emigrating parents in the 1980’s. The common theme of the articles presented is that they are anthropological – memory, hybridity, identity, cultural context – all reflected in contemporary migrant texts.
